Maths Tutor Direct Further Information & Terms of Business Objective of tuition The objective is to enable students to improve on their understanding as well as building learning power in mathematics, in a supporting environment.

Students are encouraged to be as interactive as possible in their sessions in order to make the most out of each class. We provide innovative tutoring, delivered by our tutors, who are able to identify & resolve gaps in each student’s knowledge base, helping them to develop essential mathematical skills for the future.

What to have ready for each session - Laptop(s) - Calculator - Workbook (optional if you are not using the interactive whiteboard) Please ensure that tuition can be conducted in a quiet atmosphere conducive to concentration on the tuition involved.

Maths Tutorials All online sessions take place via Zoom. Log-in information is sent once student has been booked and paid for their first session. It is an interactive virtual class, there is no obligation to turn the screen on during the class; however, it does make the sessions easier for the tutor if the screen is on. No students will be viewed at all in any of the recorded sessions. It is ideal to use laptop/ tablet for the session.

We work term time only, unless you have booked any specific holiday sessions. If we need to cancel a lesson we will give as much notice as possible and will offer a replacement time and date to make up the lesson where we can. First session & use of interactive whiteboard We ask that for your first class, that you log on 5 mins early for a set-up/ IT check and as well as a hello with your tutor prior to the class commencing.

Your tutor will also have a feedback session at the end of the class separately to check how the session has gone and for any further questions to be answered in which your child may have. Parents are welcome to join for this section also if they wish. Payment for Tuition Small group sessions.

Payment for each session is charged at £16 for KS2, £17.50 for KS3 or £20 for GCSE. The sessions are paid for in advance each term. All students will receive the "recorded session” via a weblink following the class. An email will be sent out 2 weeks before the beginning of term, listing all the dates for the period ahead as well as the total cost.

Payment is due before term starts. Once payment is received, login details will be sent out. Given that all sessions are followed up with the “recorded session link” for students to catch up in their own time before the next session, there are no refunds for unattended/missed sessions. If, for If you have any further queries or comments please contact us by phone or e-mail so that you are provided with the highest possible level of service. whatever reason a student is absent from the session please let us know prior to the session commencing.

Recorded session links are also very useful for revision/ catch up purposes.

Bank details:

Please use your child’s full name as reference when making payment. You can either pay through Class4Kids OR you have the option to pay directly into bank account to avoid the Class4Kids fee, should you choose this route use your child’s full name as reference when making payment.

Tuition Stopped by Client If at any time you wish to stop the tuition sessions for your child, please give week’s two weeks’ notice to end tuition in writing to: admin@mathtutordirect.co.uk.

Client Satisfaction Policy When a client has prepaid for a term of tuition, and a client is not satisfied with the tutoring offered, then Maths Tutor Direct will refund the balance of the course fees paid by the client representing the number of pre-paid sessions for which the client does not receive tuition. Any unattended sessions for the term other than the two weeks’ notice will be refunded.

Email addresses If you would like your child to receive emails directly (weekly class reminder emails, alongside recorded session link) directly, please provide us with their email address; otherwise, everything will be sent to the email address on our records. All emails to groups will be blind copied (due to GDPR laws).

Data Protection Following current GDPR laws, Maths Tutor Direct does not share your personal details or any information regarding the tuition with anyone, other than your assigned teacher.

Limitation of Liability We endeavour to provide the best possible service to clients and students but will not be held accountable or responsible for academic success. We do everything in our power to help improve grades and skills but we do not offer guarantees.

Maths Tutor Direct cannot be held responsible or made liable for any target grades not met by the student in any examination undertaken.

We accept no liability for any damages arising from the use of our tutoring service or any errors in the content of the learning materials provided by Maths Tutor Direct. Once you have enrolled your child on our Class4Kids database, and commence tutoring with us it will be taken as an indication that you accept the above Terms and Conditions.
